Lancashire Night 2016
 
November 27th is Lancashire Day. To celebrate this momentous day John James Dawber as Master of Viscount Leverhulme Council hosted an evening of Lancashire humour and songs at Horwich Masonic Hall on Friday 25th November.

After welcoming the guests John then introduced Rob Mason, who entertained over sixty people with Lancashire Humour.

During a break in the entertainment, everyone then enjoyed Traditional Cuisine: Hot pot and Mushy Peas accompanied by Red Cabbage & Beetroot, followed by Apple Pie & Custard.

Following the meal the entertainment continued with a second spot from Rob Mason who had just arrived from the U.S.A. (Uther side of Atherton).
Who's been on the wine?
As well as Lancashire Humour there was much singing, "Uncle Joe's Mint Balls", "My Brother Sylvest" and yes you've guessed it, "Ging Gang Goolie" finishing off with a traditional Christmas Favourite "The Twelve Days of Christmas.

A "reet good do" was enjoyed by everyone who attended; as a result of the night's enjoyment, the Council now has two more candidates for membership.
